Rihanna bears the scars of a not so pleasant past. Her broken, filed teeth are more evidence of her life as a bait dog in the underground world of dog fighting. As if that's not bad enough, this poor girl found herself at a high kill shelter on the list to be destroyed. Many people advocated for her and SCR saved her life, but poor Rihanna has been stuck in boarding since that time. Nobody has stepped up to adopt the little brown dog. Is she too plain? Too ugly? Rihanna's true beauty is on the inside. She is one of the most loving and affectionate dogs I've had the pleasure of working with. The more physical contact from her people, the better. (She gives great hugs!) Learning how to be a companion after being a bait dog has been challenging, but she's come a long way! Hanna is only a couple years old. She is house trained, paper trained & crate trained (though she doesn't care much for a crate). She walks beautifully on leash and loves to go for rides in the car. She enjoys chewing on marrow bones, rawhide and the like, and she thinks her treat dispensing Kong toy is awesome! She's a bundle of energy and doesn't miss a trick. Rihanna is understandably not friendly with dogs she doesn't know, but she has formed playful friendships while in boarding and shows no aggression to dogs that she knows. She would not do well with cats or other small animals. I think she would be good with kids
